In a Moment, Everything can Change

Steph and Michael at our wedding - so in love!

This morning I received devastating news. My dear friend Stephanie, lost her husband in a tragic car accident last night. He was driving home from work and lost control of the car.

Stephanie and Michael were one of those couples that other people envied. Smart, beautiful, and so obviously in love. They moved down to Austin, Texas together to start afresh in an awesome new city a couple of years ago and instantly fell in love with it. Though Steph has made friends in her new town she is far away from family and long time friends. Thankfully her mom is on her way down. It's torture knowing someone you love is hurting so much and not being able to offer a hug, a shoulder to cry on, or a hand to hold. I hope she knows my heart is with her.

Facelift

So, what do you think? It seems that this "nesting instinct" has even followed me into the blogging world.

I like the new look - I think it's fresh and fun! It's certainly nothing I created myself (thanks, cutest blog on the block!) But I did modify the header a bit, which I'm quite proud of!

What are your favorite sites for blog extras, and what is your favorite editing program? I have a basic Photoshop program that I have yet to install; I think I'm a little frightened of it. Is it easy to learn?

35/35

Today I reached a big pregnancy milestone. 35 weeks gone and 35 days to go!

Unbelievable.

I'll leave you with a photo that was taken a couple of weeks ago. I showed it to my mom and she said it looks like a boob. Whatever, I think it's cool!

Signs of Spring

Spring has been a landmark of sorts for me since the cold weather set in, so on my daily walks I've been keeping an eye out for new sprouts and blooms. New life is on the way! The photos below were taken on my walk through Herbert Park this afternoon.

The trees that line the path at this park should be filled with cherry blossoms come April... I can't wait to stroll my baby through the pretty scene!
